I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. For all other insurance plans I am considered an “out of network” provider.
Prior to our first meeting, I recommend that you contact your insurance to inquire about your eligibility and mental health benefits. This may include a copayment, coinsurance, and/or annual deductible for mental health services.
Therapy is an investment in yourself and your mental health. For this reason, many clients choose to pay out of pocket for therapy.
My self pay rate is $160 for a 55 minute session
For clients using out of network (OON) benefits, typical for PPO insurance plans, I can provide you with a “Superbill” that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
"The No Surprises Act requires health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services, within one business day of your service. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or how to dispute a bill, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
