About Mary

Mary Barber Bussiere (she/hers), MSW, LICSW, PMH-C seeks to create a space for clients to feel comfortable and welcome. She has a conversational yet direct style. Mary has an eclectic approach and utilizes various modalities to meet clients needs. She listens to your individual story and supports your therapy journey.

Contact Mary

Mary works with women and young adults navigating life transitions and the emotions and experiences following these transitions. Mary specializes in the areas of maternal mental health, grief and loss, and young adult mental health.


Mary supports women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the various stages of motherhood. This includes, but is not limited to birth trauma, NICU experiences, adjustment to motherhood,  and career navigation. She also has unique and extensive experience working with parents navigating medical termination, infant loss, pediatric medical complexity, end of life, and death. 


Throughout her career, Mary has supported parents in unique, complex situations. She understands the everyday obstacles for modern mothers as well as the unexpected challenges. Mary understands the complexities of these specific life experiences, motherhood and grief, as she has lived experience with each in their own unique ways.


Mary also has extensive experience working with young adults navigating college, graduate school, grief, body image, relationships, career stressors and overall life transitions.


I am a gender-affirming and LGBTQIA+ allied therapist that welcomes and celebrates people of all races, ethnicities, religions, ages, diagnoses, tribal affiliations, immigration status, and more.
